Carolina Canines for Service (CCFS) is a non-profit health and human services organization that provides wounded veterans quality, trained service dogs. Founded in 1996 by Rick Hairston, CCFS operates solely on private donations, as well as community and corporate grants. Through these funds, CCFS is able to place service dogs at no cost to the recipients. Carolina Canines for Veterans is a national pilot program that teaches prisoners at the Camp Lejeune brig in Jacksonville, N.C. to train service dogs for wounded veterans. All of CCFS loving dogs are shelter dogs who have been rescued and trained to be a source of love and companionship. Both the veteran and the dog are a team to make the transition back to independence together a success.

CCFS makes Lives better - one dog at a time.
